Currently, there are well over 1,800 plug-in vehicle charging stations in the U.S. and, by the end of 2013, at least 22,000 charging points should be scattered throughout the States. But with U.S. sales of hybrid and electric vehicles predicted to hit 1.6 million by the end of the decade, some analysts question whether 22,000 will be even remotely close to enough.
